Bridge/Structures Engineer (E-6) Borton-Lawson, a proven leader in transportation engineering, has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate who will be responsible for performing leading structural analysis and design of a variety of structure types, the majority would be related to highway infrastructure. The selected candidate will also be responsible for the following duties: • Work with the project team to develop conceptual structures alternatives, advance viable alternatives through the preliminary and final design process and assist with creation of submission deliverables. • Project types to be expected are: highway bridges, retaining walls, temporary excavation support systems and other related structural tasks • Fieldwork and site reconnaissance • Checking shop drawings • Interpretation of Hydraulic and Geotechnical Analysis reports • Preparation and checking of design computations Required Experience/Education: • BSCE minimum • PE in Pennsylvania • 7-10 years minimum experience; PA Structure experience preferred (PTC and/or DOT) • Experience using the following software: Penn DOT structures design software, STADD-Pro, SEISAB, BSDI-3D, Microstation, Microsoft Office software.
